#155 TOP 10 MEME (PART 2)

+ 4 posts in one day! I'm on a roll. I updated my Project 365, and posted scans for SHINee and Battle earlier today, as well as updating music_envy with two posts.

+ ayaka's newest album Sing to the Sky is going to be the best release this year. I'm sure of it, I think she might surpass Utada in sales to earn Best Selling Female album - EXILE currently has the top spot. I absolutely love every track on this album, new and old. Normally I tend to skip over tracks released before as singles but once I start her album I just find impossible to press the skip button.

+ I need to catch up with some jdramas next week, but I have caught up with Fated to Love You. The ratings have been off the roof and I'm really interested how Hot Shot will compete with it. Hot Shot will be airing the end of July and I think it collides with the last 3 or 4 episodes of Fated to Love You. I think FTLU did once major mistake - they've streched it out too long. From the rumoured 16 episodes to a full 22 episodes - sometimes it good to ride out the popular wave but by extending it so many episodes it's easier to fall into the trap where episodes near the end start to get repetitive or boring.

+ Meme Time! Again I posted the first part Top 10 Asian Girls a few posts and I'm now doing the second part. I will get the drama part done next.

Note: Carrying on from the first part, it's now the ranking or the guys. Like before I have included two honourable mentions. And I made myself an extra rule: one member per boyband allowed. LOL, it's just to make lists more fair -- really when you see a certain member it equals my love for the entire band. I don't agree with some fangirls who have seen a certain idol (who just happens to be part of a band), fallen in love with that idol and then called themselve a fan of the band the idol happens to be in. That's been a fan of the idol -- not the band. I strongly believe when you feel you're a fan of a groups of members, you will love them all (of course you're allowed favourites, it's the way life works) but you normally won't end up bashing/ignoring other members - or hating because one member has been in the limielight slightly longer. So yes, only one band member (which just happens to be my favourite) from each band. It doesn't mean I don't love the rest of them!!

Honourable Mention; Matsuda Shota Where was Shota when they were doing the Hanadan promotion on TFP2? Gahh ~~ I wonder how the film did at it's first night. But back to Shota. The reason he's never actually made it to the list is because I've never seen him offscreen apart from Hanadan promotions ~ and even then he doesn't voice his opinions much. And then I need to actually see more of his works. I've watched Hanadan (duh~) as well as Liar Game and noticed him in Atsuhime - I started out Jotei but the plot just made me wanna smash the screen (and hell I hated his character) so I never finished it.

Honourable Mention; Haruma Miura The real reason why he's here ~ I just wanted to use this picture lol. I have it as part of my desktop and it just reminded me to add something about him. If there's one thing I love about artists - it's those who improve. And when you see you improvement with your own eyes ~ when you can watch the line of dramas and see the work put in. Miura is one of those people - watching him from 14 Sai no Haha to Binbō Danshi to Koizura to Gokusen 3 (and everyone knows this show doesn't require acting skills, just an idol face), you can see how he went from horrible to tolerable.

10. JJ Lin His music is great love, and he's probably one of the cutest people offscreen - and hilarious when whether he's the interviewee or host. JJ is also in the Guinness Book of Records for signing the most CD's in the least time (3,052 CD's in 2 1/2 hours) in which he didn't eat or drink ~ these artists are what makes fandom worth it. Plus he helped out by donating and writing a song for the recent disaster in Sichuan. What a kind and warm heart ~~

09. Eita One of the most underrated actors in Japan - and we all know it's just because he's not a Johnny's. He reminds of Shun sometimes, as they both find it easy to get second main characters, but harder to find jobs where they're the direct male lead. I first saw him in movies Su-Ki-Da (with no other than Aoi Miyazaki) and Tokyo Friends which sparked my interest and then there was his more eccentric role in Nodame (and again he never gets the girl) and of course his most recent role in Last Friends. And do you know how hard it is to find good/great Eita photoshoots! This guy should be an idol!

08. Mizushima Hiro Hiro is one of the most beautiful model/actors I first noticed in Kamen Rider ~~!!! And of course maybe his more famous role in in Hana Kimi as Minami Nanba. I'm not sure anyone remembers but I think the first role I ever saw him in was Gokusen 2 - I'm sure everyone's eyes were fixed on Jin and Kame so they didn't know much else.

07. Jay Chou Mr. Jay Chou. I think he's one of those people you either love or hate. At first I thought he was way arrogant and childish, but you've seen him grow up and mature in front of the screen. I believe Jay is a very hardworking person, he likes to do everything himself, and you can see that from his interviews plus the way he handles the paparazzi is very professional. But I think the outstanding thing about Jay is his music talent. He's writen some of the most recognized songs in C-pop history and pair him with Vincent Fang = pure heaven. Nope, Jay isn't good looking, he should definitely stay away from speaking Cantonese, his acting needs major work and his voice is nothing special. But like I said his presence is strong, and he's made it as one of the top 50 most influential people in China - you either love him or hate him.

06. Mike He I don't really know how it made it into the list. When I wrote this list out, I did it off the top of my head and after I don't rethink/change positions - somehow he's crept into my top ten. He has great chemistry with the people he works with and always livens up the atmosphere whenever he does variety shows. He's actually quite different to the characters he normally plays (cool, hot-headed, confident) and is casual, laid-back and sometimes quite shy but then also very straight forward (I remember when Dee questioned the Why Why Love cast - Rainie, Mike and Kingone - what age they lost their virginity Mike was fast to answer).

05. Matsumoto Jun Jun~ Jun~ Jun~! Who fell for the Jun bait and then fell in love with Arashi? I'm actually very proud to say I wasn't, I followed Arashi from their very first single. Jun considered one of the elite Johnny's because he didn't need to go through auditions ~ but the reason why I think he's elite is that he can shine as an individual - hosting or acting, acting really is his strong point - or as a band member - watching him dorking around with Arashi is probably one of the best past times. I even love the fact that he loves his band members so much. Mastujun has that kinda appeal that just draws you in so you can't help smiling when he does. And the Hanadan cast is like his second family - I love seeing them together too!

04. Rojam Wang This is the first Chinese guy I have EVER said "Wow, he's pretty" within the first five minutes of knowing who he is. If you don't know Rojam, he's an aspiring male model - one of the few Asians breaking into the Western and International market. I've only seen him on the runway once, and well he still needs some fine tuning but I think he's perfect in editorials. I remember I saw him next to Emma Pei (his rumoured girlfriend -- another beauty, but in a more commerical way compared to Du Juan) and I thought "oh they look cute - perfect height" (I knew Emma was tall - but not that tall). Then I saw him on a Chinese, variety/talk show - and OMG! he was soooo tall compared to the hosts. I then found out he's a shocking (or not so shockin model-wise) 6ft 3in. Compared to the confident shots you normally see him in, he's actually really laid back, not at all arrogant and actually really shy. I think right now he lives in Paris or some other fashion crazy city. (I could be wrong)

03. Kamenashi Kazuya Representing the first letter of one of the best selling JE bands - the K in KAT-TUN - Kamenashi is actually my favourite KAT-TUN member. Bet none of you guessed that, hah! I love him because he interacts, he gets involved, he likes to voice his thoughts, he works so hard and is just so pretty! I like people who talk, and he certainly talks the most in KAT-TUN (also Koki does too) - it reveals more about the person and it just makes them more interesting. Plus his birthday is only two days after mine so he's a Pisces and a real romantic, his answers on love are always so (unrealistic) but swwet. However, Kame really needs to eat more, the guy is way too skinny~

02. Shin Hyesung Shinhwa was my first boyband love (at least from Korea). Hyesung has the voice an angel - period, no arguement. I actually remember hearing his voice and falling in love with his voice, before I saw the person. Again, Hyesung is one of those people can stand his own yet his band members can bring out a cheeky side to him. Even when he does variety shows and you start mentioning Shinhwa he gets more hyped and has so much more to say (you need to see the group of them on YSMM and Love Letter - oh and of course my true love, X-man). However much you deny it, we all know how much you love Shinhwa oppa! (And how ever jealous they make you feel). It's a shame we won't be able to see Shinhwa as a group for another 2 - 3 years as they do their military service but it's also comforting to know Hyesung will never be far because he's been exempted due to his severe knee injury during a Shinhwa concert.

01. Kim Junsu Do I need to explain why? What is there not to love about this guy? His laugh is legendary, not to mention his Engrish (or lack of English understaind) is made of pure win and his fetish of pinching other band members butt (you know he's just comparing) is one of the strangest but most adorable ways of confessing his love for them ~ but of course as an artiste his talent in singing and dancing is just wonderful ~ the amount of passion he puts into his music, not just singing but writing is evident. Just his existence is quite self-explanatory to why he's ranked first in this list. I don't think words can fully describe how much I love this guy ~

Again, I don't think there was anything to surprising - to the point of being rather obvious, no? The actual numbering might be a bit strange to some (and even to myself now that I look at it) but the people I listed are those you're all quite familar with.
