#150 Project 365: Day 3, 4, 5 + Koizura Talk
+ Project 365: So I missed out posting the pictures -- but I did take them. Someone asked me if I'm going to put up pictures of me... I might, but first I need to get my hair cut lol.
Day 3 (June 16)
This is actually a construction site on my way to school. Doesn't look much like one, huh? I'm not sure what the building used to be (or what it's gonna be) but I can tell you it will look nice if they've spent so much time on covering up the and making the site look nice.
Day 4 (June 17)
I'm so proud of myself --- I made these all by myself. Gyozas, or more well known as dumplings, is one one of those arts that you just have to practise. When you using the pastry to wrap in the meat, you should have seen the state of the first one I did.

Day 5 (June 18)
I'm cheating -- it's not yet the 18th but I know I'll be busy so I just took a picture of the moon which looks nice and clear tonight.
+ I got around to watching Koizora today. It says this was based on a true story? Impossible. it's a storyline right out of some teen idol drama I know I'm so late watching this! I had the RAW version on my HD from ages ago, but waiting for subs I totally forgot about this film. Plus at that time I was TRYING to be organized so I put it under the "Videos" file -- which I haven't used for months. I stuff all my downloads under My Documents lol.
I read the Wiki page and it says it started off as a cellular story -- wtf is that? Like periodic updates of fiction on your phone? Wow, Japan comes out with some crazy stuff?

The acting was pretty new and stiff and the pace of the story was all wrong. Where they should have taken more time, the went straight through it, when they should have just got to the point, it took forever. The most unbelievable part of the film would be the whole being pregnant thing. Hiro, aka Mr. I'm-too-good-for-school-I-have-to-dye-my-h
But of course I'm going to talk about the library scene -- umm what made the director put that in. So it was all ages acceptable, leaving everything to imagination -- but which fucking couple has sex in the school library (a library which no other students or teachers go to study when the couple are in it, but packed when only Mika's in it). The directors prefer the term "make love" -- but that still doesn't explain anything to me.
Yu (Mika's second relationship) is like someone who's just walked out of kdrama, smart, intelligent, good looking, mature, has a car -- the total opposite of Hiro. Which goes to prove idol dramas/films are always out to promote the bad boy. But I think the thing that sets them apart the most for me would be the night when Mika talks to Yu about her parents arguements and divorce and he lends her a shoulder to cry on -- Hiro would have so taken advantage of her but he just let her sleep. And you have to find it hilarious when he think she's daring, just by hugging him in the house.
Apart from all that, I actually enjoyed the film (not really sure why, lol). On the plus side of course would be this is an extremely romantic story - it was love lust at first sight (at least for Hiro), and on paper I think it would be fantastic. And I did love the scene when Mika first finds out it's Hiro who's her cell-stalker -- so awkward. I love the way they talked and knew each other on the phone first (so did Hiro really accidentally pick up or deliberately steal her phone -- and did he do this before or after breaking up with the pyscho ex?). As for the ending, the actual death of Hiro never made me cry - but instead it was the diary, the diary that was filled with thoughts of Mika.

And Hiro's hair!!!! It's a love/hate relationship -- amazing how it stands up perfectly whatever he's doing. How long does it take to style? But it's hilarious -- he starts off with plantium blonde bleached -- moves to black hair while trying to convince Mika's dad to let them get married -- and dye it back to blonde once he's got cancer? Talk about damaging the hair. And is that hair even allowed in Japanese schools -- much less one in the countryside? I'm sure they're rules against stading out too much.
+ And what's up with Korea banning music videos lately. Junjin's Wa and Epik High's Breakdown have both been banned. Personally I don't really see what's so unsuitable them. Ok, maybe Epik High's is a little violent and bloodly but it's nothing too scary. As for Junjin's, alot of touching and a girl playing hard-to-get -- but nothing that I don't think is not suitable for under 12s.
